CARRY OUT THE DAILY ROUTINE AT SEA AS PRESCRIBED IN THE SHIP'S ORGANIZATION MANUAL WITH THE MODIFICATIONS INDICATED BELOW

0600 Reveille.
0600-07l5 Breakfast for the crew.
0730 Quarters for muster and inspection at Fair Weather Parade.
Officers Call.
0730 Turn to. Commence ship's work.
1120 Knock off ship's work. Sweepers.
1130-1230 Dinner for the crew.
1230 Turn to. Continue ship's work.
1330(about) Set the Special Sea and Rearming Detail.
1400(about) Token Rearm from USS SURIBACHI. Upon completion of token rearm set the Special Sea and Refueling Detail.
1530(about) Refuel from USS NOSHO. Upon completion set the Special Sea and Rep1enishment Detail.
1630(about) Stores Working Party muster in designated areas (See Order of the Day #5).
1700(about) Replenish. from USS SYLVANIA.
1830(about) Knock off ship's work. Sweepers.
1900-2000(about) Supper for the crew.
2015 Prepare to darken ship. .
2030 (or one-half hour after mess line secures) Movie schedule: To be announced.

ORDERS OF THE DAY

1. UCMJ, ARTICLE 106 - SPIES. Any person who in time of war is found lurking as a spy or acting as a spy in or about any place, vessel, or aircraft, within the control or jurisdiction of any of the armed forces, or in or about any shipyard, any manufacturing or industrial plant, or any other place or institution engaged in work in aid of the prosecution of the war by the United States, or elsewhere, shall be tried by a general court-martial or by a military commission and on conviction shall be punished by death.

2. SHIP'S REGULATIONS - DIVINE SERVICES. Whenever practical, facilities shall be provided for each man to observe religious-worship of his choice in accordance with the dictates of the church.

No person shall create a disturbance or conduct himself in a disrespectful or irreverent manner during divine services.

All persons who do not desire to attend services shall keep clear of the area in which services are being conducted, and refrain from words, sounds, or actions that would interfere with the services.

3. SHORE PATROL INDOCTRINATION. Shore Patrol indoctrination lectures are scheduled for-personnel assigned Shore Patrol duties in Naples (See TOPEKA NOTE 1630 of h July 1968). A series of h lectures will be given prior to each port, and attendance is mandatory. Division Officers insure personnel are relieved of duties to allow attendance.

h. MINOR INFRACTIONS. The Master-at-Arms Force has been directed to be on the lookout for minor infractions and to issue minor infraction slips whenever and wherever necessary in order to ensure TOPEKA maintains standards expected on a flagship. Don't be one of the offenders. Listed below are some of the items on the minor infraction list:

5. LOGREP 1-69. Today, TOPEKA will rearm (token) from SURIBACHI, refuel from NEOSHO, and receive stores alongside SYLVANIA.. This will be TOPEKA's first UNREP this deployment and relatively light with only an estimated 28-30 tons being transferred. There will be no VERTREP for TOPEKA. The schedule and procedures for stores working parties will be as follows:

a. REARM: The LOGREP commences at approximately 1400 with TOPEKA scheduled along side SURIBACHI.

b. REFUEL: After rearming, TOPEKA moves alongside NEOSHO for refueling.

c. UNREP. All hands not actually on watch will muster at approximately l530 as follows:

d. In accordance with TOPEKANOTE 540O of 31 July 1968 and 3180 of 26 August 1967, Officers in Charge of working parties will report to the Supply Officer on the 02 level when their men are assembled and ready to handle stores, advising him of the number of men assembled.
