FROM THE PRESIDENT

Growing Old is Not For Cowards.

We really don't grow old anymore. They tell me we are in our Golden Years. However, sometimes the years don't feel golden. As Pat Buttram used to say, "When I get up in the morning all my parts hurt, and the ones that don't hurt don't work" While rummaging around in some of my junk, I came across this bit of verse that I am sure some of you may be able to identify with. The author is unknown.

The row of bottles on my shelf causes me to analyze myself:
One yellow pill I hope to pop, goes to my heart so it won't stop.

A little white one that I take, goes to my hands so they won't shake.
The blue ones that I use a lot, tell me I'm happy when I'm not.

The purple one goes to my brain, and makes me think I have no pain.
Pink capsules tell me not to sneeze, or cough, or choke or even wheeze.

The red ones, smallest of them all, stir my blood so I won't fall.
The orange ones so big and bright, stop my leg cramps in the night.

Such an array of brilliant pills, help to cure all kinds of ills. But what I'd really like to know is what tells each one where to go?

John Reynolds
